Roc Stoneworks is an independent informational site covering natural stone walls, retaining walls, patio stone, stone steps, fireplace stone, repointing, and chimney masonry for Rochester-area homes in the Greater Rochester area. We aggregate public data — Google Business Profiles, Yelp, BBB, and NY State business records — into a single navigable directory.

What we are: a content-led directory built by an operator who knows local-business SEO. We are not affiliated with any of the businesses listed. We do not take pay-for-placement. We link directly to each business's own website and Google Business Profile so you can verify everything.

Who built it: Connor Meador — a Rochester-based developer building a portfolio of niche-specific informational sites.

How rankings work: see our methodology page for the full formula. Short version: we weight Google review count and average rating with a Bayesian smoother that prevents new businesses with 5 perfect reviews from outranking established operators with 200+ reviews at 4.7 stars.

Editorial standards

• Public data only — we never scrape user-written reviews or republish proprietary content.
• Every business entry has at least one cited source (GBP, Yelp, BBB, etc.).
• No fabricated certifications, fake testimonials, or invented founding dates.
• If a business asks to be removed, we remove them within 7 days — no questions asked.
